SECOND Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and
Industry HE Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah met visiting Cuban Deputy
Premier Jose Fernandez yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Cuban Ambassador Jose
Enriquez.
Al-Attiyah briefed the Cuban deputy premier on the
major economic development Qatar is witnessing in various
fields.
Earlier yesterday al-Attiyah had talks with
Fernandez on co-operation between Qatar and Cuba and means of
bolstering it in all fields.
Al-Attiyah told QNA that he is to visit Cuba from
April 27-29 at the invitation of the Cuban deputy premier to
complete the talks held in Doha.
For his part Fernandez praised relations between
Cuba and Qatar, expressing the hope that there would be more
exchange of visits with a view to further enhancing relations.
He said the talks he had in Doha covered several fields including
co-operation in the oil and gas sectors. – QNA (QNA) 27 April, 2005
