We the workers from
Translation and Interpretation Services (ESTI)
join our fellow Cubans, and honorable men and
women around the world in condemning the release
of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles from jail in
the United States.
Once again, the
United States government has displayed the
double-standards of its so-called war on
terrorism by setting free a self-confessed
terrorist. The man who boasted to The New York
Times about his role in the planning,
organization and execution of countless bombings
and other criminal acts has been allowed to walk
free in the United States.
The release from jail
of Posada Carriles is a blow to worldwide good
will. In the different languages with which we
work, we the translators and interpreters at
ESTI strongly denounce the complicity of the
United States government with this terrorist and
alert US citizens to the danger he poses. We
call for his imprisonment and demand justice on
behalf of his victims and their families.
