Doha, on November 26, 2007:
Armando Vergara Bueno presented this Monday the
credential letters to His Highness Sheikh Tamim
Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Deputy Emir and Her Apparent
of the State of Qatar, that accrediting him as
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the Republic of Cuba to the State of Qatar.
On having delivered his credential letters and
those of retirement of his predecessor, the
Cuban diplomat extends to His Highness the
Deputy Emir and Her Apparent State of Qatar the
greetings from the President of the Councils of
State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba,
Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and from
the First Vice-president of the Councils of
State and Ministers, General of Army Raúl Castro
Ruz and from the Cuban government and people.
Subsequently, the Vice-Emir received in solemn
audience the Ambassador and the rest of the
officials of the Cuban Embassy, and exchanged
impressions on
the current state of the bilateral relations
between both States; as well as the desire to
keep on strengthening them for the interest of
two friendly countries.
The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent, H.H. the
Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, at the time
that sending a warm greetings on behalf the Emir
of the State of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Hamad
Bin Khalifa Al Thani and in his on behalf to the
Cuban government and people; he was interested
also in the health of the Commander in Chief,
Fidel Castro Ruz, and asked Ambassador Vergara
Bueno to deliver his best wishes for his prompt
recovery.
In the audience they were present also, H.E. Mr.
Ambassador Saif Mugaddam Al Buainaim, Assistant
of Foreign Minister (Vice-minister), H.E. Mr.
Sheikh Khaled Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chief of
Office of His Highness Heir Apparent and H.E.
Mr. Mohammed Khater Al-Khater, the Director of
Protocol in functions of the Ministry of Foreign
