in a majestic mansion of of the beginning of the century it is
founded, in the month of May of 1995 in Havana,
Cuba, The House of the Friendship, a cultural
complex and of services that it proposes their
visitors a pleasant place.
In
it melt the natural freshness of its gardens and its
constructive style, evocation of a Florentine palace
that it stores in its interior a genuine
representation of the decoration art.
It
hides behind its imposing walls, columns, living
rooms and corridors, an intense history of love
between a rich sugar farmer and a beautiful Cuban,
inspiring muse of the construction of so beautiful
place.
The House of the Friendship invites you to cross
the threshold of its doors in order to spent
wonderful times. The House of the Friendship is the
perfect hostess, a place of unforgettable visits, of
successful meetings and of durable friendships.
In
one of the blinding living rooms of the Cuban
aristocracy the exciting history of the gentleman's
love begins Juan Pedro Baró, one of the main farmers
of the island and of Catalina Lazza who won the
competitions of beauty of 1902 and 1904 and was
described by the press of its time like a flattering
maga". Its looks crossed amid a banquet and their
souls were meeting for ever. Little cared that
Catalina Lzza was married. Love doesn't understand
of those things.
Therefore the lovers found the form to turn it
secretly and knowing that it was a true love, she
dares to request the breakup of their marriage. Not
being listened, both decide to abandon the island
and in Paris they get married according to the
French law..
So
strong history of love ended up being even known in
the Vatican, where the Pope prepared the breakup of
Catalina's marriage and blessed this new union.
In
1917 was signed in Cuba the Law of the Divorce. In
that same year was registered Catalina's separation
officially of her first husband and the couple
returns to Havana. Juan Pedro Baró decides to build
a new house where to live his history of love with
Catalina and in 1926 he finishes building a majestic
estate in The Vedado, representative neighborhood of
the capital of the economic and cultural development
of the Cuban society of principles of the XX
century.
The house could not be enjoyed by Catalina which
died little time after its inauguration. Juan Pedro
Baró refused to inhabit it and he returned to Europe
undone of sadness. |
